Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit the online home of the Maryland College Personnel Association (MCPA)! Take look around, get to know us and hopefully we will see you at one of our many professional development opportunities and networking events. We strive to provide both a depth and breadth of events for student affairs professionals, graduate students, and undergraduate student from across the state and mid-Atlantic region. We host both formal conferences (Annual Fall Conference, Administrative Professionals Conference), webinars and several informal networking opportunities throughout the state of Maryland. What is MCPA?
The Maryland College Personnel Association actively seeks to promote the ideology and philosophy of individuals committed to student development in higher education.
MCPA is a division of the American College Personnel Association, ACPA and was charted in 1969. It is our purpose to provide leadership to the student personnel profession in the colleges and universities of the state of Maryland; to advance the contribution of the student personnel administration in higher education through teaching, counseling, research, and commitment to productive change in college student personnel practices to stimulate the professional development of college student personnel administrators within the state; and, to provide liaison between college student personnel and organizations concerned with higher education in the state of Maryland.
